The IGNITION consortium has officially opened the call for 13 fully funded PhD positions within its Marie Skłodowska‑Curie Actions (MSCA) Doctoral Network.

The project brings together a multidisciplinary alliance of 10 host institutions across 8 European countries, united to advance research on Anti‑IgLON5 disease; a unique human disorder that combines autoimmune and neurodegenerative mechanisms and offers a powerful model to explore the interplay between these two fields.

Through this international training programme, IGNITION will equip a new generation of researchers with the skills needed to unravel the complexities of neuroimmunology. Each doctoral candidate will develop an individual research project and benefit from comprehensive scientific and transferable‑skills training, as well as international mobility through research stays across the consortium’s institutions.

The call is now open and will remain active until 1st April 2026. Recruitment follows MSCA Doctoral Networks eligibility criteria, including the programme’s mobility rule, and offers 36‑month fully funded positions supported by the European Union.
