Fundació de Recerca Clínic Barcelona–IDIBAPS

Founded in 1996, IDIBAPS is Spain’s leading biomedical research centre, part of the CERCA network and accredited by Instituto de Salud Carlos III. With over 2,000 professionals in 100 groups, it bridges laboratory and clinic to accelerate translation of discoveries. Publishing 1,500 papers annually, it combines clinical excellence an d innovation to improve healthcare.

Medizinische Universitaet Wien (MUV)

MedUni Vienna, founded in 1365, is one of Europe’s oldest and largest medical universities, closely linked to Vienna General Hospital. With 8,600 students and 6,500 staff, it integrates research, teaching and patient care, focusing on oncology, cardiovascular, neuroscience and precision medicine.

Universitätsklinikum Schleswig-Holstein (UKSH)

UKSH, with campuses in Kiel and Lübeck, is one of Europe’s largest healthcare centres and the only maximum-care provider in Schleswig-Holstein. Employing 16,000 professionals, it combines patient care, research and teaching across all medical fields, including rare diseases and multidisciplinary centres.

Erasmus Universitair Medisch Centrum Rotterdam (EMC)

Erasmus MC addresses major health challenges through innovation in medical science and clinical care. Its research spans prevention, disease biology and sustainable healthcare technologies, integrating fundamental and clinical research to improve health and societal impact.

Fondazione Human Technopole (HT)

Human Technopole, Italy’s national life sciences institute, advances understanding of human biology through systems biology and AI. Research areas include genomics, neurogenomics and health data science. HT hosts five National Facilities offering open access to advanced technologies and promotes predictive and personalised medicine.

Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique (CNRS)

CNRS is one of the world’s leading research organisations, advancing knowledge across all disciplines to address global challenges. Through fundamental research and innovation, it tackles health, climate change and inequality, promoting open science and sustainable applications.

Universidade de Coimbra (UC)

The University of Coimbra fosters excellence in research and interdisciplinary collaboration through its Institute for Interdisciplinary Research. It addresses major health challenges, supports early-career scientists and promotes open science, linking fundamental research with clinical innovation.

Universitätsklinikum Jena (UKJ)

Jena University Hospital, Thuringia’s only university hospital, combines 450 years of tradition with modern healthcare and research. It trains 2,500 students in medicine and related fields, emphasising hands-on learning and integration of teaching, research and patient care.

Politechnika Wroclawska (PWR)

Wrocław University of Science and Technology is a leading technical university driving research and innovation. Its 14 faculties engage in interdisciplinary projects and partnerships with global companies, promoting technology transfer and transforming research into real-world impact.

BioSystems S.A. (BS)
